I believe the best vacation isn’t necessarily the resort with the highest rating or the destination everyone is talking about - it’s the one that’s right for you.
As a Brantford-based Travel Advisor with Northstar Travel & Associates and the founder of Counting Countries, I help travellers narrow down the overwhelming number of options and turn “Where should we go?” into a vacation they’re genuinely excited about.
I specialize in all-inclusive vacations, group travel, girls’ getaways, family vacations, cruises, and customized travel experiences, with particular knowledge of Mexico and the Caribbean.
Firsthand Experience Matters
There’s only so much you can learn from a resort website.
I travel regularly, participate in industry FAM trips, tour resorts, and experience destinations firsthand so I can give my clients more than a list of hotels. I pay attention to the things travellers actually want to know: What is the beach really like? How is the food? Is the resort walkable? Does it feel lively or relaxing? Who would love it - and who probably wouldn’t?
My travels have taken me throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada, the United States, and Europe, and I continue to expand my destination knowledge through both travel and professional training.
I’m also a Jamaica Travel Specialist, with firsthand experience exploring the island beyond the resort and learning more about its culture, communities, and tourism experiences.
Travel That Fits the People Taking It
Two people can visit the exact same resort and come home with completely different opinions. That’s why I don't believe in recommending a vacation simply because it's popular or has great reviews.
I want to know how you like to travel.

Some of my favourite trips to plan are the ones that bring people together.
Whether it’s a girls’ getaway, milestone birthday, family vacation, reunion, cruise, destination celebration, or another reason to get everyone away together, I can help coordinate the travel details and make the process easier for both the organizer and the travellers.
Because organizing a vacation for two people is one thing. Organizing one for 10, 20, or more is something entirely different.
A Different Perspective on Travel
Before becoming a Travel Advisor, I built a career in sales, marketing, and hospitality, and today I also teach marketing at the college level.
That background influences the way I approach travel. I'm naturally curious; I research extensively, and I know how to look beyond beautiful marketing photos to determine what an experience is actually going to be like.
I'm also a travel content creator, which means when I'm travelling, I'm constantly documenting and evaluating destinations through the eyes of future travellers—not just taking vacation photos.
For me, travel planning isn't about selling you a vacation.
It's about helping you choose your vacation.
