(Guided by Ryan Snider)

Kenya’s open savannahs, rolling grasslands, and undulating hills, set the scene for one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth – the migration of two million wildebeest and zebra from Tanzania to Kenya each September.

September 15, 16: Flight to Nairobi, Kenya

A comfortable international flight takes you to Nairobi, Kenya (arriving Sept. 16). Upon arrival, Ryan will welcome and drive you to the charming Fairview Hotel.

September 17: Nairobi

Visit the artisans of the Kazuri Bead cooperative, dine at the Leopard Cliff Restaurant, and spend some time with the energetic children of a local orphanage in Kibera – East Africa’s largest slum. Return to your hotel for a refreshing swim before enjoying a special ‘Welcome to Africa’ dinner and safari briefing.

September 18, 19: Laikipia Conservancy

Embark on a dramatic trip through the lush coffee plantations of Mt. Kenya to the arid Laikipia region, stopping at the equator on the way. Stay two nights at the eco-award winning El Karama Lodge in this awe-inspiring region known for wildlife not seen anywhere else in Kenya.

September 20: Lake Naivasha

Drive through the Great Rift Valley and descend the escarpment to Lake Naivasha. Spend the afternoon at a local primary school helping them practice English, distributing much-needed supplies, or planting tree seedlings. Stay overnight at the Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.

September 21, 22, 23: Maasai Mara National Reserve

Cruise amongst the hippos and enjoy a private walking safari where much of ‘Out of Africa’ was filmed. Fly over the expansive Great Rift Valley to the world famous Maasai Mara National Reserve where day and night game drives will provide you with the chance to photograph the full range of African wildlife including lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and giraffe. The award-winning Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp features Hemingway-style tents with en-suite bathrooms, hot showers, and solar electricity.

September 24, 25: Nairobi Departure Flight
